1. Controller responsible for processing

The controller responsible for processing on i-poll.ch is CloudMonki GmbH, Alte Steinhauserstrasse 19, CH-6330 Cham (ZG), Switzerland. Contact: contact form; websites: www.i-poll.ch and www.cloudmonki.com.

2. Data processed

We process data generated when you use the platform: for an account, in particular your email address and information entered in your profile; for participation, responses, participation and timing information; and technical data such as the IP address and a technical blocking value derived from it, so that multiple participations and misuse can be detected or limited. Where functions use it, approximate location information derived from technical data may also be processed. Newsletter data are processed only in connection with a subscription and consent.

3. Purposes and bases

We use these data to provide the platform, manage accounts, enable participation, analyse results in aggregate and protect the integrity of polls. As applicable, processing is based on contract performance, consent, legitimate interests or legal obligations. The platform follows Swiss data-protection law and takes the GDPR into account where applicable.

4. Access and recipients

Within CloudMonki, only people who need data for operations, security, support or analysis have access. Service providers may receive data where necessary for hosting, email or technical operations. Public poll results are generally published only in aggregate form so that no individual can be identified.

5. Retention and anonymisation

We generally retain account data for the lifetime of the account. In the current system, completed or abandoned participations are technically anonymised after 90 days: the stored IP address is removed; a non-reversible technical retention value may remain. Aggregated results and participation data that do not directly identify a person may be retained for historical comparison. Statutory retention obligations remain unaffected.

6. Cookies

i-poll.ch uses technically necessary cookies, in particular for language, session and login status.

7. Newsletter

If you subscribe to a newsletter, we use your email address and recorded consent for the requested communication. You may unsubscribe at any time using the unsubscribe link in a message once delivery is enabled.

8. Your rights

Under applicable law, you may request access, rectification, erasure or restriction of processing, object to processing and request portability. You may withdraw consent at any time with future effect. Complaints may be submitted to the Swiss Federal Data Protection and Information Commissioner (FDPIC).

9. Security and changes

We use appropriate technical and organisational safeguards, including encrypted transmissions. We may update this policy if functions, processing operations or legal requirements change; the published version applies.
